Julie Freeland started winning awards for her art at the early age of twelve. At the age of 16 she was the youngest artist ever to win first place at the Northern Lights Art Exhibit held by the White Bear Center for the Arts.
Julie completed her three year body art technician apprenticeship at the end of December 2010, in which she gained a vast amount of skill and knowledge apprenticing under Brandon Heffron, owner of Beloved Studios in St. Paul, MN. Julie’s art has depth, realism and a touch of the fantastic. Even though Julie is relatively new to the tattoo industry, she has the skill and creativity of a seasoned professional.
Julie has always pursued a career in the arts, and in addition to her very strong and technically sound tattooing, you will find her equally skilled in pencil. Julie’s pencil portraits are so life like that they have often been mistaken for photographs. Tattooing has been a long time aspiration for Julie and she finds great satisfaction in creating customized tattoo designs for individuals.
